Savannah's Historic District encompasses 22 squares and some of the finest preserved architecture in the American South. Many of these Civil War-era homes and townhouses retain their original fireplaces - beautiful focal points that still function with properly seasoned wood.

Downtown Delivery Logistics

Delivering to the Historic District requires some coordination. Street parking, one-way streets, and pedestrian traffic mean we typically arrange a specific delivery window so you can meet us or direct us to the right entrance.

For townhomes with rear courtyards or carriage houses, we can often access through service alleys. Let us know your property's layout when ordering.

What We Deliver

Our firewood is seasoned and ready for downtown fireplaces:

• Oak - Dense, long-burning, and clean - the best choice for historic chimneys
• Cherry - Aromatic and produces minimal sparking
• Mixed Hardwood - Practical option at a lower cost

Quantity Considerations

Downtown homes often have limited storage. Quarter-cord and half-cord orders are most common in the Historic District. We can make more frequent smaller deliveries if that works better for your situation.

A Note on Historic Chimneys

Before burning in a fireplace that has not been used recently, have a chimney professional inspect and clean it. Once you know your historic fireplace is safe, we are happy to keep you supplied all season.
